Restoration and refurbishment of a Grade II listed landmark building for the creation of four high end luxury apartments and two-storey retail unit below. Our structural engineers were involved in the overhaul of the internal elements including adding new floors and re-configuring of the apartments.
Our building surveyors were instructed to carry out the pre-acquisition survey and to comment on the existing condition of the property with a programme of repairs. We were then instructed as party wall consultants, CDM coordinators and as historic building consultants by way of specifying and overseeing the refurbishment including the treatment of lead in paint and wet and dry rot affected timber work, and external render works which involved removing all of the cracked render and replacing with new lime based render system as approved my Westminster Planning Department.
