Procured under P21+ this Christchurch Hospital project involved the regeneration of the hospital site which dated from the late 19th Century and had undergone significant addition and modernisation during the 1960s and 1970s along with a significant number of alterations since.
A Masterplan was produced for the site which saw removal of the original 1890s ward blocks along with single storey 1960s ward blocks, consolidation and rejuvenation of the 1960s clinical buildings and the addition of a curved wrap around building housing a new GP Surgery, Pharmacy and Imaging.
Christchurch Hospital site infrastructure was redesigned to accommodate potential future development and involved significant road re-alignment and drainage works following detailed flood risk assessment and production of a drainage strategy allowing for future growth plans.
